You feel emotionally overwhelmed in relationships, struggle with boundaries, and constantly second guess yourself.
You grew up around criticism, manipulation, or emotional instability that still affects you today.

First Responder Counseling
First responder counseling is an environment to process the unique stress, pressure, and experiences that come with your work. As a LEO wife and a former dispatcher who worked directly with police, fire, and EMSA, I understand the challenges both on and off the job.
Meet Natalie
Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.
At Around The Corner Counseling, I want therapy to feel like a place where you can show up exactly as you are. No need to have the right words. No need to have it all figured out.
Many of the people I work with grew up walking on eggshells, feeling responsible for everyone else's emotions, or wondering why they never felt quite good enough. Those experiences can follow us into adulthood and show up in our relationships, boundaries, self-worth, and the way we see ourselves.
I've worked in the mental health field for nearly fifteen years, and both professionally and personally, I've seen how much people carry behind the scenes. I believe therapy should be collaborative, flexible, and tailored to the person sitting across from me. Together, we'll find an approach that fits you and your needs.
My goal is simple: to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and comfortable being honest about what's really going on. We'll figure it out together.
After all, sometimes relief is just around the corner.
Areas of Focus
Much of my work centers around trauma and the ways it shows up in everyday life, including:
• Complex trauma, emotional regulation, and relationship difficulties
• Family-of-Origin Trauma (e.g Narcissistic family systems, Emotional abuse and chronic invalidation, Scapegoating and dysfunctional family roles, Attachment wounds and childhood emotional neglect)
• First Responders and cumulative stress management.
I use practical, evidence-based approaches tailored to your needs, including trauma-focused therapies, emotion regulation skills, and attachment-based work.
